F&O Ban List
Today's NSE F&O ban list - stocks where open interest has crossed 95% of market-wide position limit (MWPL). Each ticker links to its full Sapphire Stocks research view.
What is the F&O ban list?
When the aggregate open interest in a stock's derivatives (futures + options) crosses 95% of the market-wide position limit (MWPL), NSE places that stock into the F&O ban period. While a stock is banned:
- No new positions may be opened in its derivatives.
- Only position-reducing trades (closing existing positions) are allowed.
- A penalty applies to any new position created during the ban.
The stock exits the ban once aggregate open interest falls back below 80% of MWPL. NSE publishes the list daily before the market opens; the data above is sourced from NSE's own archives and refreshes every hour.
